Expanded weekly garbage pickup

One of the main commitments in my platform brochure during the last election campaign was to work to expand weekly garbage pickup back into additional months in the Spring and Fall, as hotter weather makes it a cleanliness, health and quality of life issue, particularly for young families, pet owners, daycare operators, and townhouse residents like those on Donegani (where residents would often bring me inside as I went door to door because of the insects swarming around their doors and garbage bags). Once elected, I continued to advocate on this issue as a member of Council.
Today, I'm proud to announce that garbage will continue to be picked up weekly on Tuesdays through until the end of October 2026. I would like to acknowledge the work of the Administration, Mayor and fellow Councillors to make this happen. Details and new collection schedule for District 4 below:
