News from Council

Two significant items for District 4 residents arising from last week's Council meeting:

-After a long wait, Chestnut will be repaved in Summer 2026, with the addition of new drainage infrastructure. An information session for residents explaining the process and collecting feedback will be held at City Hall in the Spring.

-Legal action is being taken against the tenant and owner of 243 Hymus (the legal cannabis plant) for non conforming use of the property. We hope this will lead to a solution to the smells and nuisances that negatively impact the quality of life of Hymus and Alston residents.
