Pointe-Claire Volunteer Rescue

This Wednesday I attended the Annual General Meeting of Pointe-Claire Volunteer Rescue along with the Mayor and some other Council members. Though not everyone in Pointe-Claire knows about them, PCVR is an important group of volunteers that comes to our assistance when we need it most, providing support (among other things) during flooding, after accidents, and in finding missing persons, as well as being present to provide First Aid at community events.
While the City of Pointe-Claire provides them with a budget and facilities, their members are all volunteers contributing hundreds of hours of their free time. With just under 30 members currently, they are always looking for new recruits. You can learn more about them or look into joining by following the links below:
